Master P Ricky Williams

Master P was on ESPN 1st Take to talk about Jay-Z venturing into the sports agent world. When people think about rappers failing in the world of sports representation they often cite Master P and Ricky Williams as their prime example.

While P did fail in that venture, he succeeded in many more, so his business intelligence shouldn’t be ignored. Stiletto Jill broke down what P had to say.

There is truth in that, but it also shows the brilliance of Jay-Z. He didn’t let arrogance get in the way of an intelligence business deal.

He has surrounded himself with people who know what they are doing to decrease the chance of failure. That’s smart business. ¬†As far as the not making the money part, Jay has shown that he can take a little and turn it into a lot, the Nets being the prime example of that. He wasn’t making a lot of money from his ownership of the team, but his presence opened up many other doors for him to make a lot of money elsewhere.

Roc Nation Sports will turn out the same way
