The good news is that OJ Simpson has been granted parole on his armed robbery conviction in Vegas, but here is the bad news.
O.J. Simpson has been granted parole on some charges stemming from his 2008 kidnapping and armed robbery convictions involving the holdup of two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas hotel room.
The Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners on Wednesday released an order approving the former NFL star’s parole request.
But the order doesn’t mean Simpson will be leaving Lovelock Correctional Center anytime soon. Because he was convicted on multiple charges, Simpson still faces at least four more years in prison on sentences that were ordered to run consecutively.
OJ has at least four more years to spend in prison unless he is granted a new trial. Even though it was one of the dumbest crimes in the history of mankind, I don’t think the punishment fit the crime, the right thing to do is just release him now, but that doesn’t look like it is going to happen.
So, he is a little closer to getting out, but the Juice won’t be loose for a while.
