Rangers Tanner Scheppers, Randomly ‘Sucker Punched’ In Cleveland

MLB: Toronto Blue Jays at Texas Rangers

What in the blue hell is going on in Cleveland?

Rangers relief pitcher Tanner Scheppers was brutally and randomly attacked on Thursday night in Cleveland while getting food.

By Scheppers account, a group of young men ‘attacked’ and ‘sucker punched’ him, resulting in a black eye and other minor injuries. He didn’t appear in Friday’s game vs the Indians, due to a headache as a result of the beat down.

Scheppers has filed a police report, but they’re doubtful on catching the perpetrators, police informed Scheppers ‘this happens a lot’.

Really? Folks randomly get the living daylights beaten out of them while getting food in the city of Cleveland? This is bizarre and scary. Let’s hope Scheppers recovers fast.
