I would be real interested to see what type of PPV numbers that Adrien Broner could generate if he headlined a PPV. Only Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao get close or exceed a million PPV buys in boxing. If Broner can approach 500k, he could show he is ready to be a PPV force in the future.
But, first the fight has to be made, here is what Golden Boy President Richard Schaefer said to Boxing Scene.
“Our shows on [October 26th and November 2nd], both on Showtime Championship Boxing, would lead into a massive pay-per-view on November 9th, live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. I can’t tell you yet who [is going to fight], because I’m working on it – but if I can pull it off – all fight fans will be extremely, and you can put that in capital letters, extremely happy. I’m not going to let the cat out of the bag, but we are holding the MGM and we are holding the date. It’s going to be a spectacular night,”
Would be a great fight, if Golden Boy can get it done.
