The funny thing about this story, is that someone definitely will mess it up, and write a report about the wrong Geno Smith. Luckily for me, I won’t be the one.
ESPN is reporting that Alabama sophomore cornerback Geno Smith, was arrested on one count of driving under the influence by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend.
Smith worked his way into the starting line up as a freshman and is expected to help replace Jets rookie Dee Milliner in the Crimson Tide defensive backfield this season.
The four star recruit from Atlanta was expected to play a similar role this season, competing as the nickel back alongside starters Deion Belue and John Fulton.
Nick Saban may want to get a grip on things, this has been a misreable off-season for the Crimson Tide off the field.
