Alex Rodriguez Allegedly Leaked Names of Other Players in Biogenesis PED Scandal

alex rodriguez not to appeal

This guy just makes it so difficult to have any sympathy for him. I have never been much of a fan of his, but as I wrote a few weeks ago, I do think he is the white whale to Bud Selig’s Captain Ahab.

Now, news that will probably end up turning even the most hardcore A-Rod supporter against him. 60 Minutes has learned that Alex Rodriguez camp allegedly leaked unredacted versions of the documents that were published in the Miami New Times that featured the names of two of the people already suspended by MLB, Ryan Braun and Francisco Cervelli.

Cervelli, A-Rod’s teammate with the Yankees.

Rodriguez’ attorney denied the claims.

In a statement to “60 Minutes,” Rodriguez lawyer David Cornwell said, “The allegations are untrue and are another attempt to harm Alex — this time by driving a wedge between Alex and other players in the game. While Alex focuses on baseball and repeatedly states that he is going to respect the appeal process, the drumbeat of false allegations continues.”

If it is true, this guy is absolute scum. Selling out his fellow players, including a teammate, while being so adamant about his innocence borders on sociopathic. I am starting to come around, and believe MLB should make this guy go away.
