The UFC had its fair share of troubles with the city of Boston leading up to UFC Fight Night 26 held last Saturday.  The Boston City Council waited until the last week before the fight to license Chael Sonnen and the City Council president said the UFC “teaches kids how to rape”.  Now, the City Council has banned minors under the age of 16 from all MMA events in the city, according to MMA Mania.  The resolution, which can be viewed here, originally aimed to ban anyone under the age of 18 from attending MMA events in the city of Boston, but the final bill compromised on the age of 16.

The UFC probably wasn’t going to put on any events in Boston anytime soon before this bill passed.  Now, don’t expect any MMA in Boston for the foreseeable future.
