Celtics Brad Stevens is Likely to Bring James Posey on to Coaching Staff

James Posey is a canidate for a Celtics coaching position.

Upon accepting the Celtics head coaching position, Brad Stevens was well aware of the challenges that lie ahead. In effort to rebuild, Boston traded away future hall of famers Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Rajon Rondo is the only member remaining of the “Big 3”.

Brad Stevens’ roster is pretty much set, but he’s still looking to fill out his coaching staff. Jeff Goodman of ESPN is reporting former Celtic James Posey is a likely candidate.

Posey played a key role in the Celtics 2008 Championship run, making key plays and clutch shots. He has very little experience coaching however, although he did help Cleveland during Summer League action.
