Randy Starks started 16 games for the Dolphins last season at defensive tackle, and has started 63 of the teams last 64 regular season games.
Starks now is listed as the third team defensive tackle on the depth chart, and he seems to have a good idea why. Starks believes that he’s not starting, because he chose to skip off-season OTAs according to South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Starks said it, saying “I’ve been there before.”
“I’ve been there before,” Starks said. “I’m not going to say nothing bad about it. It is what it is. I wasn’t here so I guess this is my punishment.”
Starks signed a one-year $8.45 million contract tender after being designated as the Dolphins’ franchise player this off-season.
