Dwyane Wade replies

There is a reason the phrase “cheaper to keep her” is so popular.

Dwyane Wade is a very rich man, but any time you have to pay $10 million for anything it is going to put a dent in your wallet. He is rich, but he isn’t a billionaire.

His court battles with Siohvaughn Funches has been going on for 6+ years and Gossip Extra spoke to one of Wade’s lawyers that says it is putting a hurting on his pockets.

Two of the dozen or so lawyers in two states involved with Wade’s split from high school sweetheart Siohvaughn Funches tell Gossip Extra that the past few months in the six-year battle will undoubtedly run the total tab up to that stunning figure!

“We were at about $8 million last year, and now we’re definitely at $10 million,” said one of the lawyers, asking not to be named in the story. “He’s paying more for lawyers than what he is paying his wife for the settlement.

“It was a complicated case, but it may have become personal.”

It may have become personal?  You think?

The $10 million in legal fees doesn’t even include the $5 million settlement offer that is on the table for Wade’s Ex-Wife, so in total he could be out of $15 million.

By comparison Deion Sanders who also went through a messy a divorce, but only lost a little over $1 million.

If you are an athlete, think long and hard before you get married and yes I am talking to you LeBron.

It is amazing how the legal bills can increase when i divorce is more difficult and when child custody issues and large assets are involved.
