Antonio Morrison received some good news from Gators head coach Will Muschamp on Monday.
The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Morrison has had his two game suspension reduced to one. Coincidentally, Morrison will return for Florida’s tilt with Miami.
“I just don’t feel like his actions warranted a two-game suspension,” Muschamp said.
“He’s very remorseful about the whole situation, and we’ve moved forward,” Muschamp said. “Guys make mistakes and have poor judgment at times. I’m just disappointed with how the entire night was handled.”
Morrison was suspended following his second arrest in five weeks on July 21 for harassing a police animal. He was accused of barking at a police dog. The charges were later dropped based on lack of evidence.
Muschamp of course levied the suspension himself, so I’m not sure what caused him to change his mind.
