With several of its most well-known athletes testing positive for banned substances last month, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has brought back the 4 year ban on athletes for major doping violations, according to the LA Times.

The IAAF make this announcement as the World Championships are set to begin on August 10th in Moscow.  The ban is expected to take effect in January 2015.
