Jason Kidd says “Probably No Back-To-Back Games” for Kevin Garnett

Jason Kidd says 'probably' no back-to-backs for Kevin Garnett.

The Nets already had talent in Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez last season, but now they’re stacked after adding Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Expectations are through the roof for first year head coach Jason Kidd’s ball club.

In order to live up to those expectations, Kidd’s veteran team must remain healthy. Paul Pierce is 35 and Kevin Garnett is 37. Reducing their minutes during the regular season is one way to keep them healthy, but Kidd is discussing another alternative for Garnett.

Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd has discussed the possibility of power forward Kevin Garnett not playing in both games of back-to-back sets this season.

“When you look at KG, probably no back-to-backs, but those are just topics right now that are being thrown around,” Kidd said Friday.

The Nets will play 20 sets of back-to-back games. Garnett is 37, and the Nets want to make sure their newly acquired veteran stays healthy throughout the regular season.

I wish Jason Kidd luck on convincing Kevin Garnett to rest when he feels 100 percent.
