Newly signed Jets tight end Kellen Winslow is motivated after a nasty split from the Seahawks, and hopes to use his opportunity in New York to prove a point.
The 30-year-old Winslow told ESPN New York that he wants to catch 100 balls this season.
“My goal is to have 100 catches,” he said Thursday. “Will I catch 100? I don’t know. It might be 20, but that’s the goal.”
Winslow is still upset about his treatment from the Seahawks.
“They cut me over money. They put me in a bad situation,” he said. “I can’t even speak on it. It’s just frustrating what happened. You just don’t do a vet like that.”
