Jeanie Buss isn't convinced Phil Jackson is done coaching.

You can see the chess pieces moving.

If Lakers have a bad year, D’Antoni will be gone and they are going to try to bring Phil Jackson back in the hopes he can lure one or two of the big name free agents to LA.

That is why Jim Buss speaks so glowingly of Phil in this quote.

“We can call him at any time,” Jim Buss said. “(GM) Mitch (Kupchak) has sat down with him several times, especially with the Dwight situation. I’d be more than happy to have him on a consultant basis. I don’t think we’re paying him and I don’t know if he has an official title. I have no idea if Jeanie wants to sit down and discuss that. But I have no issues with him coming back or having a role.”

Jeanie Buss says Phil might do some broadcasting as well this season. He will be around just enough to make his presence known and leave enough hints that he would come back to coach in 2014.
