Former Giants LB Lawrence Taylor was one of the Giants best, but his career seemed to always be shadowed by murky tales of partying and drugs. It didn’t help that the city he played in was one of the largest and most well-known party destinations in the world. CBS Sports is now reporting that on September 20th at 8pm, Showtime will be airing a documentary about the life and career of one of the NFL’s most beloved figures.
The film will consist of several testimonials from several of Taylor’s former teammates. When asked about living and working in New York City, Taylor had this to say:

“New York will always be New York. It’s the biggest candy shop in the world. And I understand why so many people want to come here. It’s a great place to visit — I couldn’t live in the city — but it’s not a bad place to hang out.”
Strange that Taylor felt that New York wasn’t that bad, since it seems so many of his troubles came from partying in the Big Apple.
