Even the world’s best athlete is a fan of someone or something. It would make sense that it would be the best athlete in another sport. This couldn’t be truer than when Michael Jordan asked Ken Griffey Jr for his autograph at the 1993 All Star Game, when Jordan was in the Chicago White Sox farm league and Griffey was a Seattle Mariner. The Bleacher Report has managed to find video in the lost archives of Jordan doing just this.

We all know that Jordan grew up an avid baseball fan because of his father. Griffey is, of course, absolutely amazed and it’s written all over his face. Griffey was only 24 at this time, but Jordan, who had already won a multitude of championships for the Bulls, knew that Griffey was destined to be something special in the MLB. On one hand, we have the great Michael Jordan in awe of Griffey, and Griffey definitely shows he felt the same way about Jordan.
