Everyday we sit and listen to the NCAA investigate kids for benefiting off of autograph signings, selling jersey’s, and taking money from agents.
We never investigate the NCAA for continuing to profit off of athletes, schools, and programs involved in games that technically were never played.
The NCAA hammered Reggie Bush and USC for several infractions involving the Bush family taking money from a marketing firm, in return for having Bush as a client.
Bush lost his Heisman, USC was forced to vacate wins, and the NCAA put the program on probation.
They did all that, but have no problem selling autographed merchandise from those disgraced parties involved according to Larry Brown Sports.
According to reports, the NCAA official store is selling a Reggie Bush autographed 8×10 photo of the former USC great sprinting away from Sooner defenders during USC’s 55-19 win over Oklahoma in the 2005 Orange Bowl.
The photo is going for $180.
So after the Trojans blasted the Sooners, Bush and USC were hit with major sanctions, the NCAA still feels comfortable enough to sell memorabilia from a tainted game.
