Doc Halladay is back with the Phillies after having undergone arthroscopic surgery on his shoulder back in May.
Halladay was ready to start what would’ve been this third minors game with Double A Reading when he got the call to come back up after their originally scheduled starter had to pitch in relief in an 18-inning long game on Saturday.
Now that he’s been activated from the 60-day disabled list he will take to the mound Sunday afternoon against the D’backs, in place of Tyler Cloyd.
Halladay left the Phillies in injury in anything but prime shape, his ERA was a whopping 8.65 in seven starts.
