Geno Smith’s time has arrived. Amid reports that he wasn’t in the best of shape, Geno Smith is now starting to prove the naysayers wrong.
The New York Daily News is reporting that Smith is almost a lock to win the Jets starting quarterback job as long as his play doesn’t drop off.
Manish Mehta is reporting that Smith looked sharp in a scrimmage, and should land the job.
Through seven practices and a scrimmage, Smith reportedly has been pretty solid, completing 39-of-68 passes (57.4 percent) and thrown for three touchdowns, no interceptions.
