When the Major League Baseball finally came down with the Biogenesis suspensions for players like Jhonny Peralta and Nelson Cruz, many wondered whether or not the two could find themselves back playing this season. With both the Tigers and Rangers seemingly headed for the postseason, the 50 game suspensions would be up before the season ends.
According to ESPN’s Pedro Gomez though, both are “highly unlikely” to return to play this year.

All of these suspended players are allowed to work out with their clubs every day. Would have to leave ballpark when gates open. None are.
