Either Amar’e Stoudemire has had a change of heart this summer, or the Knicks are not really feeling Dwight Howard going to Houston.
After agreeing to travel to Houston to train with Hall of Fame center and big man guru Hakeem Olajuwon, Stoudemire, reportedly has changed his mind, and will instead rest.
You probably assumed Stoudemire chose to pass on refining his post game, and instead will spend the summer traveling?
The New York Post is reporting that the Knicks have taken the stance that Stoudemire should rest, and no longer work with Olajuwon.
According to reports, Houston is allowing Olajuwon to fulfill any of his prior workout commitments with opposing players this month before he begins his new job of working with Rockets big men.
Meaning he’s Dwight Howard’s tutor only. Stoudemire probably will never work with Olajuwon again.
We have no word yet, on whether or not the same goes for Carmelo Anthony, who was supposed to train with Olajuwon also.
