Ricky Rubio is the consummate floor general. He can pass, see the play before it happens, and he’s becoming a pretty good leader.
Rubio though is not that polished of a shooter or scorer. He shot 34% from midrange, and barely over 40% from within eight feet.
The T’Wolves and Flip Saunders love their floor general, but according to Fox Sports, would like “Rubio to become a better shooter, and scorer.”
“That’s his next step in the evolution of the point guard position,” recently hired Timberwolves president of basketball operations Flip Saunders told KFAN 100.3. “Being a bigger scoring threat, being able to knock down shots, which will make the game much more easier for him.”
