San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker is ready to commit to playing for his country again in the Olympics. Even thought they aren’t until 2016.
In an interview with Euronews via SBNation, Parker let it be known he wants to continue to represent his country on the biggest stage.
Euronews: “You have been in the French team since 2002. You are very attached to the blue shirt. Do you want to carry on until Rio in 2016?”
TP: “Yes, I will play until 2016. I still take pleasure from playing with the French team.”
Parker will be 34 by the time the 2016 games come around and coming off his 15th NBA season. Minutes on his legs will have to be a concern for the Spurs at that point.
