On Monday before the Bengals took the field and the decided to play Katy Perry’s new song “Roar” because of the tigers I suppose. They also just couldn’t wait to play it right away after the final whistle. Well it looks like the fans of the Bengals have spoken and that will cut that out immediately according to the Wall Street Journal:
“I think some fans proved that there’s an expectation that when the team takes the field, there should be more of a hard-rock, classic-rock song and I know that’s what we’re going to do this game,” said Jeff Berding, the Bengals’ director of sales and public affairs. “Katy Perry is not going to be the last song you hear before the team takes the field.”
It’s pretty cool that the Bengals actually listened to their fans on this one. There are plenty of other songs to get you pumped up for the game. As long as it’s not the Black Eyed Peas.
