Carmelo Anthony On 2014 Free Agency: “I’m Not Going Nowhere”

Carmelo Anthony says he's not leaving New York.

The reigning scoring champion has been dodging 2014 free-agency questions all summer, but we all know the New York media will keep asking him about it until he’s blue in the face.

Anthony was on Bloomberg Television’s “Market Markers” and the question about his future plans came up.

“I’m not going nowhere,” Anthony said…

“That is one of the reasons why I wanted to come here to New York, just so I could take on those pressures and those challenges,” Anthony said. “A lot of people do not like to deal with the pressure. A lot of people do not know how to deal with the challenges they face. To me, it is everyday life.”

I wouldn’t put too much stock into this because fellow stars LeBron James and Dwight Howard said similar things, but both ended up bolting their old teams.
