Michael Vick has been the guy a lot of young NFL players looked up to when they were growing up.
Vick left Virginia Tech when a lot of the young players in the NFL were just early teenagers, and I’m sure it’s been a dream for most of them to play with or against him.
One of those players was Chiefs star defensive back Eric Berry. The former Tennessee Vol’s safety grew up watching Vick in Atlanta and looked up to him as a youngster.
During a Wednesday appearance on “NFL Total Access,” NFL Network’s Dan Hellie asked Berry which quarterback he would choose for a one time big interception and return.
“Michael Vick, man,” Berry replied. “I think that will be a big statement, a big deal for me just because I grew up watching him in Atlanta and he was a lot of people’s idol back home. I definitely feel like that would be something special.”
Berry fulfilled that dream and even more when he intercepted a Vick tipped passed and returned it 38 yards for a touchdown.
