As we reported last week Florida All American defensive tackle Dominque Easley will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL against Tennessee.
Easley is not harping on the disappointing end to his college career, and instead has chosen to focus on his bright NFL future.
Florida head coach Will Muschamp told Robbie Andreu of the Gainesville Sun that Easley will not consider asking the NCAA for a medical redshirt and instead will enter the 2014 NFL Draft.
“He’s definitely going to the NFL,” Muschamp said. “A lot of organizations will want him.”
The 6-foot-2 and 280 pound Easley now has to mentally prepare for the fact that just like Marcus Lattimore last year, his draft status is going to take a huge hit.
Easley has to understand that the big money may not come in his first contract after tearing an ACL for the second time in his career.
