FSU Trying to Stop Fan From Selling Shirts Depicting Jameis Winston as Jesus (Photo)

Florida State redshirt freshman Jameis Winston is all the rage in college football and reportedly good for the t-shirt business as well.

TMZ is reporting that Florida State is trying to stop a fan from selling and profiting off of t-shirts depicting Winston as Jesus.



Winston is the Heisman front runner who is 40-45 passing on this young season with 6 touchdowns.

The fan reportedly wanted to remain anonymous, and told TMZ that he sold 100 of his “Chosen One” shirts for $20 a piece last Saturday.

Reports say that officials inside the Florida State Athletic Department have delivered a cease and desist letter to the fan … out of concern sale of the shirts could get Winston and the school in trouble.

The NCAA could punish Florida State if it feels the school is out of compliance in regards to whether or not the school is doing enough to prevent someone from profiting off a player’s image.

Many on the campus believe the shirts are sacrilegious.

The fan reportedly says he plans to sell the again on Saturday.
