Mets Matt Harvey To Put Off Surgery In Attempt To Rehab Elbow

Update to Monday’s news of Harvey visiting Dr. James Andrew.

It has been confirmed that injured Mets ace will try a two month throwing program and see how his elbow responds.

CBSSports reported the following:

“the diagnosis apparently was positive enough that Harvey is expected to try rehab for now, then begin a throwing program in 1-2 months.”

But by no means is this the end of Harvey’s troubles, as the possibility of needing Tommy Johns if rehab doesn’t respond is very high. If anyone can bounce back through just rehab and determination, it’s Harvey.

Wish him a speedy recovery.
