It can be rough sometimes being a Nascar driver. Not only do you have to worry about crashing or running out of gas, but now you have to be concerned about being assaulted on the Track.
Nascar truck driver Max Papis can attest to all three of those scenarios. Papis had an incident with Mike Skeen on the track during the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Canadian Motorsports Park on Sunday.
The two drivers were battling for position and both went into the wall on the final corner of the final lap after Skeen tried to make a move around Papis.
Papis managed to finish sixth, Skeen 13th.
Things got interesting really quickly once the two men were off the track. According to Larry Brown Sports, Papis was approached by Skeen’s girlfriend Kelly Heaphy after he got out of his car.
Heaphy was visibly irate, and slapped Papis hard across his face. ESPN racing analyst Marty Smith reported that Papis suffered a dislocated jaw after being slapped.
