Nick Saban has heard the rumors swirling about his agent being contacted by board members from Texas. He decided to respond on his radio show tonight according to AL.com:

“Every year it’s something. Last year it was the Cleveland Browns,” Saban said. “The year before that it was somebody else, the NFL. Terry and I are very happy here in Tuscaloosa. We’re really love the University of Alabama. We really feel like a part of the community here and we have a lot of good friends here.”

“And, quite frankly,” Saban said, “I’m just too damn old to start over somewhere else.”

A couple things of note here. Saban again mentions his wife being happy in Tuscaloosa. Second, Saban is 61 and maybe he doesn’t want to do the rebuilding job at Texas. I don’t think this speculation will end until Texas has another coach though given Saban’s history of leaving jobs.
