It looks like Ray decided to stay out of the spotlight. For once. According to reports, Lewis was invited by the Ravens to be with the team on the sidelines but declined saying he wanted to “focus on his family.”

Ray will still be part of the festivities tonight though at Mile High on the Jumbotron, which will show a video of former players from each of the 32 NFL teams counting down the final 32 seconds before kickoff. Lewis will be Baltimore’s representative in the video, while eight-time Pro Bowl tight end Shannon Sharpe will represent the Broncos.

It is for the best that Ray keep his distance from the team. They loved his as their leader and teammates but its time to move on and build their own identity with Joe Flacco as their leader.
