Good news for the Yankees?
Robinson Cano is shrugging off reports that he’s asking for a $300 million from the Yankees in the off season.
When asked by the New York Post about the contract sum Cano stated:
“I know what we’re doing and what we’re not doing,..I don’t listen to anybody else.”
Cano insisted his camp never leaked any such number and that he was unsure as to where the lofty number even came from
“Honestly, people are going to say a source or a friend said something or whatever,…I just ignore it. They are little things and don’t affect me.”
Cano further went on to declare his love for the Yankees and the fans. While it’s now clear he doesn’t want a contract in the $300 million range, the question still remains what will Cano ask for and will the Yankees give it to him?
This is just one of the many questions the Yankees have to solve in the off season.
