If there was two thing you could count on the Pittsburgh Steelers having they would be a strong defense and a solid running game. Age has caught up with defense, while injuries and free agency have had their way with the offense. Le’Veon Bell was suppose to take care of the Steelers running game but he was injured in the preseason. There is one bright spot, as one of Ben Roethlisberger’s favorite targets, Heath Miller, will make his return to the Steelers lineup Sunday night vs. the Bears. Also, Haley expects Felix Jones to have a bigger role.
“I thought he did a good job on the carries he had,” Haley said of Jones’ effort Monday in Cincinnati, when he ran 10 times for 37 yards. “He found the holes that were there. We need to do a better job of creating some space for him because he does look like he has some ability if we can get him into some space. He’ll get more opportunities this week.”
He also made sure to state that there was no confrontation between Antonio Brown. The Steelers will have their hands full this Sunday Night as they face the Chicago Bears.
