According to CBS Sports, free agent DL Richard Seymour has been approached by the 49ers and Lions about a comeback to the NFL. Seymour stated that he would like to be on a contending team by Week 10. He also isn’t interested in making the Veteran Minimum, which for Seymour is $940,000. He made $15 million with the Raiders last season and teams that showed interest in Seymour in the preseason believe he won’t consider an offer less than $5 million, so that may be the reason he hasn’t exactly been getting to many calls.
If Seymour drops his salary demand a little, he may find himself contributing for a contender by his Week 10 deadline.
