76ers fans are pissed.
No not really, but yes Andrew Bynum actually played his first game in over 526 long days.
Bynum made his season debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers last night, and at worst, showed a glimpse of the potential this Cavs team has if Bynum can give them quality minutes.
Bynum had three points, three rebounds, and two blocks in seven minutes of action. The Cavs trailed the Nets 21-15 when he entered the game with 3:40 left in the first quarter, and he never returned after that seven minutes.
The Cavaliers didn’t actually clear Bynum to play until right before tip-off, but head coach Mike Brown was optimistic about what he was able to see.
‘I’m just excited about him getting a taste of game action,’ head coach Mike Brown said before the game. ‘Where he goes from here, the sky is the limit. He has a lot of upside and a lot of room to grow. I’m not placing any expectations on him when he does play.’
Thankfully for Sixers fans, Michael Carter-Williams allowed Bynum’s debut to go unnoticed here in Philly.
