The love fest between the Arizona Cardinals and quarterback Carson Palmer may be coming to an end quickly.
Palmer ran his streak of consecutive games with multiple interceptions to five in Thursday night’s 34-22 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Regardless of the fact that the Cardinals have no running game, and Bruce Arians play calling has been shabby at best, Palmer was supposed to the reason Larry Fitzgerald returned to an all pro status.
Palmer’s addition has added up to wins and production, and according to Around The League, Arians blames it on Palmer’s decision making.
“It’s the reasons for the interceptions. Is it his decision making?” the coach said. “If it’s his decision making then we make a change. But the first one to me was obvious pass interference and the safety makes a great play. The second one was just a poor decision. Those are the ones we have to look at.”
Palmer has 8 touchdowns, 13 interceptions on the season, with a quarterback rating of 69.5. Arians would have Drew Stanton to turn to, who would probably put up similar numbers behind that line.
