Arian Foster Called Players-Only Meeting After Loss To Seahawks

Arian Foster should have simply had a man to man conversation with Matt Schaub, but whatever helps the Texans circle the wagons works for me.

On the heels of a debilitating loss at home in overtime to the Seahawks, The Houston Chronicle is reporting that Arian Foster called a players only meeting in which Texans defensive end Antonio Smith did all the talking.

“It was hard to walk in there after a game like that, whether you’re a coach or a player and understand that whenever you’ve given everything you possibly have and you don’t get it done, it’s a very tough pill to swallow.

“It’s easy to not say anything. I think the important thing is that you do talk about it, and you let everybody know you’re committed to what’s going on. And that’s what he did, and he continued to do it in meetings. It hurts, but we’re a strong group. We’ll rally.”

The Texans are 2-2, but panic shouldn’t set in yet.  They should easily be 3-1 with the football world focusing on how they dismantled Seattle.

Instead their quarterback has quit Twitter, fans are burning jerseys, and the Texans are no longer elite until next week.
