The Bears lost to the Saints on Sunday, but may have finally their second option to Brandon Marshall at the receiver position.
Alshon Jeffery struggled at times as a rookie but clearly has grown into a man in his second season. The former South Carolina Gamecock had a franchise record 218 yards on ten catches one of which was for a TD.
Bears star Brandon Marshall was full of praise for the youngster afterwards, and even told CSNChicago.com that Jeffery “could be the best to ever do it.”
“I’ve always said this guy could be the best to ever do it,” Brandon Marshall said, praising Jeffery after the game. “He’s probably going to shatter all the Bears’ records by the time he’s done at the receiver position. That’s one of the only positives from our offense today.”-
