Darrelle Revis Now Owns Patent on Revis Island

Nearly 3 years after filing for the patent, Bucs CB Darrelle Revis finally owns  the rights to “Revis Island.” This is probably more of a move to make sure no one else makes money off his nickname.

If this hadn’t taken so long to get approved he really could have capitalized off this. Too bad he is now on the downside of his career and now teams are actually challenging him and WRs aren’t so afraid anymore.

    Good thing he owns it cause he’ll be the only one on the island.

    Its not a patent – its a trademark. Both are managed by the USPTO – but they are really nothing alike.
