Rough off season ahead for the Tigers.
On a day which saw Jim Leyland resign, it’s been made known that Miguel Cabrera will likely require surgery to repair a groin tear.
Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski told reporters what many had feared, Cabrera has been dealing with a grade 2-3 groin strain since late last year. Cabrera will see a specialist in the off season to determine which steps to take.
No word if surgery will delay him for the start of next season. With Miggy being the likely MVP winner, it came as no shock that he was injured based on his post season performance–going 11 for 42.
A cloud of uncertainty for Detroit looms ahead.
