Mike Wallace: Dolphins Need Urgency, Not Panic
Things can turn so quickly in a NFL season. Two weeks ago, the Miami Dolphins were one of the more surprising storylines of the 2013 season. The Dolphins had won their first three games and had many people including them in the playoff picture of the weaker AFC.
Two weeks later the Dolphins have lost two games in a row and it appears there”s some unrest down in Miami. According to their #1 receiver Mike Wallace, panic is not what the team needs.
“You’ve just got to stay focused,” Dolphins receiver Wallace said, via the team’s website. “You can’t get caught up in the, ‘You lost two, so panic.’ Just stay relaxed, stay calm but we have to have a sense of urgency, too.”
You have to continue to play, keep working hard and I feel like our team works hard every single day,” he said. “Everybody out here gives great effort so I think we’ve got to do a better job of transferring it from the practice field to the game.”
The bye week comes at a good time for the Dolphins and they would be smart to use it wisely. We’ll see how they perform when they host the Buffalo Bills in week 7.
