To say student athletes at Grambling State have been going through a rough patch these last few years would be an understatement. Not only did their football team finish 1-11 after an emotional roller coaster of a season, but their basketball team lost 32 games in a row going 0-28 last season.
The sun has finally come out for GSU. According to CBS Sports, for the first time since March 3, 2012, the basketball team can finally add a notch to their win column. The Tigers defeated Central Baptist, an NAIA program 83-75 on Monday night, ending their 32-game losing streak.
Grambling will try to extend their winning streak to two when they play TCU on Thursday. Cornell now holds the nation’s longest losing streak dropping 16 games in a row dating back to last season.
