The Buffalo Bills were also affected by Josh Freeman signing with the Vikings.
The Bills made a late push to acquire Freeman, but were unsuccessful. With E.J. Manuel out several weeks with a knee injury, Adam Schefter is reporting that the Bills will start practice squad member Thad Lewis at quarterback on Sunday against the Bengals.
Bills HC Doug Marrone told WGR 550 in Buffalo that Thad Lewis will start at quarterback Sunday vs. Cincinnati.

“Thad gives us the best chance. We’re going to give him an opportunity to see what he has,” Marrone said, via the teams website.

Lewis started one game for the Browns last season, a 24-10 loss to the Steelers in Week 17. He was 22-of-32 for 204 yards with one touchdown and one interception in that game.
The Bills reportedly are close to signing Pat White as well.
