After the St Louis Rams lost starting QB Sam Bradford, we knew they would be looking for a replacement. It looks like they reached out the QB who has gone back and forth so many times about wanting to play. Brett Favre. According to Adam Schefter:
After the team lost Bradford to a season-ending knee injury, St. Louis called Brett Favre on Sunday night, asking if the 44-year-old retired quarterback who is now a grandfather, would be willing to leave his farm to plow through the back half of the Rams’ schedule, league sources said.
Favre was asked about the Rams interest and if he would come back while on ESPN 570 in Washington:
“It’s flattering, but you know there’s no way I’m going to that,” he said.
“I had a great career. I think if anything, the last year that I played was an obvious writing on the walk, vision for you if you will,” he said. “It was time.”
Maybe that not somewhat weird appearance on the NFL network got the Rams interest going or they are just that desperate. Hey they did end up signing Brady Quinn.
