Ravens Cut Michael Huff & Marcus Spears

So much for Michael Huff replacing Ed Reed in the Ravens secondary.

Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Ravens have cut off-season additions Michael Huff, and former Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said heading into the bye week that the team will explore every avenue to improve, including cutting players.

Huff, the former first-round pick with the Oakland Raiders, signed a three-year, $6 million deal that including a $1.5 million signing bonus.

He lost his starting free safety spot after a poor performance in the season opener against the Denver Broncos and he was playing almost exclusively on special teams.
