According to Chris Haynes of Comcast Sportsnet Northwest, Portland Trailblazers rookie point guard CJ McCollum, is set to spend an extended period of time on the sidelines with a foot injury.
X-ray's confirm #Blazers G CJ McCollum sustained a fractured 5th metatarsal bone in his left foot at practice on Saturday at the PF.

CJ McCollum will require surgery, though a date has not been determined. Prognosis for his return will be made post surgery.

This is most certainly unwelcomed news for the Trailblazers and their first-round pick. McCollum was expected to make an impact right away as the team’s back-up point guard.
