Sam Cassell Jr. originally signed with Maryland out of high school but was declared academically ineligible when his credits didn’t transfer from prep school.
The 6-foot-3 combo guard enrolled at Florida’s Chipola College.
Cassell Jr., whose father was an NBA point guard for 15 seasons and is now an assistant coach with the Washington Wizards confirmed via his Twitter page that he will sign with Kevin Ollie and the Huskies.
