On Monday night vs. the Rams, the Seahawks were able to hold on for a five point victory, but the game’s most memorable play came on an 80 yard TD reception by Golden Tate, who taunted the Rams secondary for last 3o yards of the play. Tate was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct for his actions, for which he was seen getting a lecture from head coach, Pete Carroll on the sideline.
“That was immature of me. Hurt my team. I’ve gotta stay composed. … Act like I’ve been there before,” Tate said. “I gotta apologize to our special teams. I put them in an awkward situation, but more happy to get up and learn from it and move forward.”
Golden Tate likely won’t make that mistaken again. Especially since he nearly was knocked out of bounds on the play.
